 DESCRIZIONE

Rowings fuori dal normale per un maschio argentato. Buone scaglie, diritte e distinte. La sua calotta è imperfetta.  Un uccello spavaldo , con un buon colore di fondo  (se visto alla luce naturale) Molti visitatori pensavano fosse una femmina , ma ha cantato durante l’esposizione.

 Questo uccello sembrava superbo quando è stato trasportato al convogliamento per il Campionato del mondo, ma normalmente i maschi non ricevono punteggi alti al Campionato del mondo, quindi l’espositore non era fiducioso della vittoria. L’espositore è stato molto fortunato che i giudici  erano disposti a dare delle ciance ai maschi. Jules Etienne ha vinto la medaglia d’argento con uno stamm di 4 maschi dorati, un avvenimento fuori dal normale, e sicuramente un buon giudizio.

  

Outstanding rowings for a silver cock.  Good spangles, straight and distinct.  His cap is imperfect.  A bold, dark, well-coloured bird (when seen in natural light).  Many people thought that he was a hen, but he sang during the show.

This bird looked superb when the breeder transported him to the Com-UK conveyor, but normally cock birds do not get high points at the World Show, so  he was not confident about success.    He was very lucky that the judges were willing to give male birds a chance - Jules Etienne won a silver medal with a stam of four gold cocks - an outstanding achievement, and good judging in my opinion.

Non cap gold hen – Femmina dorata senza calotta

 dESCRIZIONE

Scagli eccellenti , diritte e distinte. Rowings nella media. Una senza calotta quasi perfetta a parte un piccolissima macchiolina sopra il becco.  Sarebbe stato meglio una forma più (cobby)  arrotondata, ma ha spalle larghe che aiutano  a mostrare le sue scaglie dorsali.

La femmina dorata non cap di Jules Etienne in Hasselt era leggermente superiore. Anche Fernand Moes espose a Bari una eccellente femmina dorata non cap, anche se non vinse medaglie.

Questi  sono i lizard che hanno stabilito in questi ultimi anni lo standard dell’eccellenza.

Excellent spangles, straight and distinct.  Average rowings.  A total non cap, apart from a few clear bristles above the beak. I would prefer a more ‘cobby’ shape, but she has broad shoulders which help to display her spangles.

The non cap gold hen of Jules Etienne in Hasselt was better in my opinion.  Fernand Moes also had an excellent non cap gold hen at Bari, even though she did not win a medal.  These are the birds that have set the standard of excellence in recent years.

Molto bella e significativa  l'affermazione del britannico Huw Evans che ha vinto la medaglia d'oro sia nei singoli dorati che negli argentati.
Dobbiamo ricordare che Evans , quest'anno ha giudicato a Bologna alla specialistica. E' il primo giudice allevatore che vince il campionato mondiale nelle due categorie.

He likes large lizards, well-fleshed, he doesn’t write down the genealogy, having few couples all his birds are related to each other and therefore it is not deemed necessary.  The birds that are small and thin have no place in his breeding team, in fact he asserts, if the lizard does not have a broad chest and back, it will not have enough space for rowings and spangles  and the ground  color does not express itself at its best.

Years ago he added some  birds  of Mr. Fernando Fermi, one of the best Italian breeders of lizard of all time, and has recently added a beautiful lizard of Macchioni, the Italian champion, a  silver non cap cock of 2012. (photo). He has  tried to add other foreign blood but had no benefits.

He begins to breed in mid-February (13 and a half hours of light) and produces the first young in March. The young, after they are  weaned, are placed  in a large aviary outside of about five meters long, two high and 1.50 wide.  The interior has many roosts and  show-cages  where he puts  vegetables or other treats so the youngsters gradually get used to enter without mistrust.

In 2000 he participated  at his  first exhibition, the regional championship of Lazio, held in Sora (Frosinone)  where he won with a  gold hen , he still retains the diploma and the medal won (Photo)

Among the main Show  results : about ten Italian titles, not counting seconds and thirds, 14 best in show,   20  first at Reggio Emilia International Showi, and two second places at the World Show  of Bari in 2014.

Domenico is a conservative, if a food, a procedure, or equipement  is okay, he  continues to use it, he does not change. He feeds his lizard with a mixture  of 4 seeds plus some little  'sunflower. All year he gives   dry soft food,  boiled seeds and when possible , immature seeds of dandelions. In soft food he adds a small amount of yellow dye and a bit 'of spirulina, and one boiled egg every 100 gr.

Some advice: whoever wants to try to breed this race  should inquire about the feed  and the management of breeding but especially the novice should visit as many exhibitions as possible, develop an "eye"for the breed, and then rely on a trustworthy breeder and buy the most beautiful specimens possible.
