Gordon Plumb è stato vice presidente del LCA, ma aveva lavorato per molti anni come  agente  pubblicitario ed è stato uno dei membri fondatori del EALCA. Gordon aveva vinto il premio per il miglior Lizard  alla National Exhibition 1974. Gordon, all'età di 31, è stata ilo più giovane a giudicare la sezione Lizard all'Esposizione Nazionale.

 Gordon Plumb was vice president of the LCA, but had worked for many years as publicity officer and was one of the founder members of the EALCA. Gordon had won the award for Best Lizard at the 1974 National Exhibition. Also Gordon, at the age of 31, was the youngest person to judge the Lizard section at the National Exhibition

Fred Snelling

Fred Snelling, conosciuta anche come il  “Lizard Wizard”  per le sue otto vittorie nella sezione Lizard della Nazional inglese. Fred è stato anche uno dei pionieri della rinascita del  Lizard nel 1950 e '60 ed ha  ricoperto la carica di segretario dopo GT Dodwell. Fred ha anche collaborato con articoli  per riviste di uccelli.

Fred Snelling, also known as the Lizard Wizard for his eight wins in the Lizard Section of the English National. Fred was also one of the pioneers of the Lizard revival in the 1950's & 60's and held the post of Secretary after GT Dodwell. Fred was also a regular contributor of articles to bird journals

 Len Wood  era un contemporaneo di Fred Snelling e Eric Southwick. E 'stato due volte vincitore della sezione Lizard della Nazionale inglese e un giudice molto rispettato.

Len wood was a contemporary of Fred Snelling and Eric Southwick. He was twice winner of the Lizard section of the English National and a well respected judge.

Ray Lee è stato Vice Presidente del LCA per molti anni e Ray era anche un giudice ed espositore  di primo piano, ma probabilmente la sua più grande affermazione è stato che negli anni settanta è stato l'autore di un piccolo libro dedicato alla custodia, allevamento, ed alla esposizione dei  Lizard.. Era pieno di consigli utili.

Ray Lee was Vice Chairman of the LCA for many years and Ray was also a prominent Judge and exhibitor, but probably his greatest claim was that in the seventies he was the author of a small book dedicated to the keeping, breeding, and exhibiting of Lizard canaries. It was packed full of useful tips.

Miss O Branch  è stato  un espositore regolare e due volte vincitore della sezione Lizard della Nazionale inglese nel 1950 e  stato anche  un membro attivo del  comitato.

Miss O Branch was a regular exhibitor and twice winner of the Lizard section of the English National in the 1950's and an active committee member.

Stan Insall è stao  un appassionato espositore del Lizar per molti anni e ha vinto la sezione Lizard nelle mostre degli inglesi, scozzesi e gallesi. Egli è probabilmente l'unico allevatore di Lizard a vincere tutti e tre nello stesso anno. Stan era anche noto per la sua abilità  di steward.

Stan Insall was a keen exhibitor of the Lizard for many years and won the Lizard section of the English, Scottish and Welsh Nationals. He is probably the only Lizard man to win all three in the same year. Stan was also well known for his Stewarding skills.

Eric Southwick era un amico e contemporaneo di Fred Snelling - da cui ha ottenuto i suoi primi Lizards - ed è stato due volte vincitore della sezione Lizard della Nazionale inglese. Eric era un giudice acuto e Membro Onorario a Vita. Eric emigrato in Canada, al momento della morte di Fred Snelling, e continuò a giudicare nello stesso campo   in  California.

Eric Southwick was a contemporary and friend of Fred Snelling - from whom he obtained his first Lizards - and was twice winner of the Lizard Section of the English National. Eric was a keen judge and Honorary Life Member. Eric emigrated to Canada at the time of Fred Snelling's death, and continued to judge as far as field as California.

Robert Yates, founder and first chairman of the L.C.A. of GB. It was his energy and organisational skills which provided a sound framework for the Association which has stood the test of time.

Robert Yates, fondatore e primo presidente del LCA (Lizard Canary Association)  della Gran Bretagna. La sua energia e le sue capacità organizzative hanno fornito solide fondamenta all'Associazione, che ha resistito alla prova del tempo.

 

John Scott along with his father was one of the founding members of the LCA. His birds were bred from a continuous line from 1935. John was always promoting the Lizard and to keeping the bloodlines pure. John held various posts with the LCA and was Chairman for over ten years and then from 1988, president until his death in 2012. 

John Scott insieme a suo padre è stato uno dei membri fondatori del LCA. I suoi uccelli sono stati allevati da in consanguineità  dal 1935, John è stato sempre promotore del Lizard e di mantenere le linee di sangue puro. John ha ricoperto vari incarichi nel'LCA ed è stato Chairman per oltre dieci anni e poi dal 1988, presidente fino alla sua morte nel 2012.

 

Arthur Grindey was the ring steward for a number of years and a member of the Council of Management for many years before moving to Devon. Arthur was a keen supporter of the major shows and during the eighties was one of the top breeders and judges, which included many wins including the Lizard Section of the English National with a broken capped gold cock. 

Arthur Grindey è stato steward (porta gabbie) per un certo numero di anni e membro del Consiglio di Gestione per molti anni prima di trasferirsi a Devon. Keith and Audrey Knighton, won the “Classic” once and the Lizard section of the English National three times. Audrey was famous for getting the youngsters steady by patience and hand fed rice krispies.

 Albert Durrell, one of the founders of the EALCA in the 1970’s and won the Lizard section of the National Exhibition four times. Albert had a reputation for quality Lizard canaries which were always admired whenever shown.
